A flat walk around the pond. Footpaths are mainly gravel and well maintained, I would suggest boots if the weather has been wet recently as some areas are subject to surface water run off. Parking is free and a good size.
Perfect for families and couples. Decent walk around the lake opportunity for kids to play in park, and feed the ducks. Reasonably priced cafe on site too.
Large pond and sandy heathland. Great for families and dog-walkers alike. You can take boats out on the water. Cafe kiosk and playground.
I absolutely adore the Heath and I always have. It has definitely improved in recent years, particularly the cafe which is usually open and offering some sheltered seating in case the weather is poor. There are separate playgrounds to suit all ages, and lovely views for the grown ups. Definitely a must for amateur photography enthusiasts.
It was my first visit this year will most definitely go back again. Parking is on the road for high vehicles. Easy walking around the pond for every ability. Shop sells drinks and icecreaam. Toilets were clean. Loved the park for the kids. Can't wait to go again.
