Went for a wedding anniversary. Had a fantastic meal and the atmosphere is wonderful and romantic. Can't fault anything about the Trooper.

A wonderful pub. We were a group of 12 walkers who arrived at 1o'clock having been rejected by another pub as they were too busy.The very friendly staff made us very welcome, and explained that the food is all prepared freshly so we had a bit of a wait-- but it was worth it--. varied menu, good beer and interesting surroundings. Recommended.
Stayed at the Troopers Inn for 4 nights very nice accommodation very clean room and shower room the staff at the Trooper inn a very accommodating. And Lydia who is the bar staff is very good at her job and a very nice person to talk to as well and very helpful thank you Lydia for a pleasant time.
